Vie Tara is a beautiful old monastery set in its own area
of 3 hectares and is situated in the heart of the green countryside
of the Northern Ardèche
region of France, on the outskirts of the pilgrim village
Lalouvesc.
A
unique place for rest, holidays, sabbatical, course, seminar,
workshop or training.
The attractive village is situated in the green picturesque
Ardèche region at an altitude of 1100 meters.
The natural environment is characterized by the inspiring
walks and breathtaking scenery.
The ideal place for a relaxing and a restful vacation. A stay
at La Vie Tara gives you the feeling of coming
home to yourself.
La
Vie Tara is open all year and throughout the year themed weeks
are organized.
In
the summer months we offer a number of creative workshops.
You
can find yourself an individual or a group holiday.
Some
of the possibilities:
Hiking, biking, painting, sculpting, drawing, dancing, music,
yoga, fitness, tennis, jeu de boules, or simply enjoy and
relax, do nothing and be yourself.

Weather
Lalouvesc is a mountain village. It lies at 1080 meters height
and has the predicate Center climatique. This means
that the air here is very pure. Another advantage is that
the summer temperatures do not get extremely high like in
the rest of south of France. A nice extra feature is that
we do not have nasty stinging insects.

Periods
and prices
La Vie Tara is open al year. Price per person per week are
450 euros all-in (including private room, three meals per
day and all drinks). No surcharge for single room. (All
prices on this site are exclusive of tax pppw euro 10.00)
Children 0 -1 years free, 2 -11 years 50% discount and 12
-15 years 25% discount.
It
is also possible to make your stay longer or shorter than
a week. The daily price is 65,- euro per person all-in.
It
is now also possible to stay in the apartment next to the
monastery. This is the home of the owners Joke and Albert.
The apartment is fully equipped (living room with sleeping
possibility, separate bedroom, private bathroom facilities
and a kitchenette with stove and oven).
It
can be rented for 650,- euro low season and 750,- euro high
season per week (basic rent). If you wish to enjoy our meals
(including drinks), we are charging 30,- euro per person a
day. It is suitable for 2 to 4 people.
Also,
we have 2 indoor 4-person apartments. These have a cozy living
room to the front of the building, a double bedroom and a
luxury shower facility. These can be rented for a minimum
occupancy of 2 persons. There is 200,- euro at cost price
in addition to the normal week. By 2 people is 100,-euro pp,
with 3 persons 67,- euro , and 4 persons 50,- euro.

Week Awards during courses
In the spring, autumn and winter La Vie Tara organizes regular
training weeks in cooperation with experienced trainers and
teachers. The prices of these weeks per course are different.
The exact price per person is reflected in the description
of the course. Coming up soon.

Week Awards during summer vacations
During the summer vacations, the price per person per week
is 500,- euros all-in. Workshops included. For some workshops
like sculpting and making jewelry there is a small charge
requested for materials utilised. The half-day workshops are
held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

La Vie Tara retreat weeks
Throughout the year you can stay for a retreat or an individual
holiday. You can enjoy the peace and nature. It is also possible
to be creative because we have many materials in the house,
for example drawing, painting, sculpture, etc. In the months
January, February, November and December there are no activities
planned so it's very tranquil. The price of the retreat week
is 450 euro all-in.
